Try the following workarounds. They might help you in solving these errors.
1. Download “Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4″ from here. Only download the x86 file and arm file. Dont download the x64 file.
2.Run the game as admisistrator. sometimes this works
3.Go to computer/program files/steam/steamapps/common then right click neptuniarebirth1 and click trobleshoot compatibility. Make the game run service pack 3.
4. <a href="http://www.fileinspect.com/fileinfo/msvcp110-dll/">download msvcp110.dll</a> file from here and paste it into Game root directory.</div>

I am teaching a class this term where I am trying to get my student-analysts to come to many of the same realizations. Called Collection Operations for Analysts, the goal of the class is to make them more aware of the challenges and capabilities of HUMINT/Primary <a href="http://corpsparfait.fr/">Source</a>, IMINT, SIGINT, MASINT and even OSINT collectors.
SO...I need your help! I would really like to give my students the perspective of working collectors. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am NOT looking for anything classified (of course) or overly technical. I am looking for the top three things collectors in each of these disciplines really wish that analysts, primarily, but also policymakers, decisionmakers at other levels, commanders with limited intel background and maybe even the general public understood better about their collection discipline. </div>

<div id="article-content" style="text-align: justify;">
Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar; in 2013
Ramadan falls between July 10th and August 9th. For the entire month of
Ramadan in Dubai and the rest of the U.A.E Muslims enter a period of
spiritual contemplation and reflection on their faith in Allah. In fact
Ramadan fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.<br />
As you no
doubt already know Dubai and the U.A.E is a Muslim country and the laws
and socially accepted norms are governed by the tenants of Islam. In
order to have a safe and enjoyable time when it is Ramadan in Dubai
there are a few things you should bear in mind.<br />
<br />
During Ramadan
Muslims are forbidden to eat or drink during daylight hours. This fast
is just one of the forms of restraint that Muslims take upon themselves
during Ramadan. Not only do they refrain from food and drink during the
daylight hours but they also refrain from smoking, gossiping and
cursing. If you are visiting U.A.E during Ramadan you should know that
it is against the law to eat, drink or smoke in public during daylight
hours. From sun rise to sun set during Ramadan in Dubai and in U.A.E in
general all cafes and restaurants are closed. However you can get served
food and drink in the hotels during Ramadan but even this is done
discretely.<br />
<br />
Music is also forbidden by law during the daylight
hours of Ramadan fasting with the exception of some traditional oud
music. So you won't be able to attend concerts or listen to music in
pubs and restaurants. Dubai nightclubs will be closed during Ramadan.
Modest clothing is also recommended during Ramadan.<br />
<br />
In general the
atmosphere during the day is more subdued and people take it easy until
nightfall. People tend to work shorter hours and you'll find some
attractions either closed or with shorter open hours. Once you hear the
call to prayer that signifies the end of the fast you will feel a
distinct change in the atmosphere in Dubai. Muslims break the fast with
the iftar meal and some restaurants and cafes even open during the night
time hours. The restaurants are usually open from about 7pm during
Ramadan in Dubai and the U.A.E. People eat, drink and spend time with
their families at night during Ramadan.<br />
<br />
At the end of the month of
Ramadan there is the public holiday of Eid-Al-Fitr which is a huge
celebration and for the following three days there is a party atmosphere
in Dubai and the rest of the UAE.<br />
<br />
So if you are visiting Dubai or U.A.E during Ramadan remember:<br />
<ul>
<li>No eating, drinking, smoking or cursing in public during daylight hours.</li>
<li>No music allowed.</li>
<li>Dress modestly with shoulders, cleavage and knees covered.</li>
<li>Shorter working hours and shorter open hours.</li>
<li>When the sun goes down and you hear the call to prayer that
signifies the end of the fasting, you can eat and drink in public but
still maintain a heightened sense of decorum befitting the ideals of
Ramadan.</li>
<li>The days following the month of fasting are a big celebration and an interesting time to visit Dubai.</li>
</ul>
There is no problem travelling to Dubai during Ramadan,
you will still have a great vacation but it is important to respect your
host country's religious beliefs.<br />

<div id="article-content" style="text-align: justify;">
In Islamic calendar, the month of Ramadan is considered holy and
Muslims from all over the world fast during this month. They celebrate
Eid-ul-fitr after the end of the Ramadan, and on the first day of next
month 'Shawwal'.<br />
<br />
The holy month of Ramadan also has great impact
on Muslim culture. In many countries, people make special arrangements
to pray together and listening holy Quran being recited during these
prayers. Special food is prepared to end the fast each day.<br />
<br />
Even
though Muslims fast during this month, but it also brought a wonderful
diversity in the food they serve during Iftar (the meal they eat to
break their fast just before evening prayer time). In Pakistan this time
of day has very important cultural significance. People return home
from work early to join their families on Iftar dinner. Special Ramadan
Recipes are prepared and served. These Ramadan recipes vary from one
country to another. Since Muslims are spread all over the world so their
local customs and local cuisines also affect their recipes and the menu
of Iftar Dinner. Some ingredients such as Dates are common almost
everywhere. In many countries Muslims break their fast by eating a Date
to follow the way of Prophet Muhammad.<br />
<br />
In Indian Ramadan recipes
are quite similar to Pakistani Ramadan recipes. Samosa and Pakory are
common in both countries. Another common recipe is Fruit Chaat recipe,
in which fruit salad is served with spices and sugar. Ramadan recipes
vary from one country to another, even in a single country like
Pakistan, people of different ethnic origins prepare their Ramadan
recipes differently following their usual local cuisine and using more
local ingredients.<br />
<br />
The menu of an Iftar dinner could be both
casual and formal. Rich and affluent people throw special Iftar parties
where people get together on the Iftar Dinner. At that time many types
of Ramadan Recipes are served. The centuries of this tradition has
brought great variety and flavors to Recipes. Fruits are the most common
ingredient of an Iftar dinner in most Muslim countries. But there are
also recipes containing beef, meat, chicken, fried and cooked, bar be
cue, desserts, and some refreshing drinks.<br />
<br />
In Pakistan people
usually drink a rose flavored drink called Roh Afza. In rural parts some
families serve Lassi or Yogurt Milkshake instead of rose flavored
drink. If Ramadan arrives in summer then lemonades are served at Iftar
dinners. Since Muslim calendar is a lunar calendar so there is no fix
season for Ramadan. Therefore seasonal fruits and ingredients bring more
variety to Ramadan recipes.<br />
<br />
Iftar dinner is not just the time of
the day when Muslims end their fast and then pray. It is also the time
for families to sit together and wait for the call of evening prayers
Azaan. In some countries like India, Pakistan and Egypt, local mosques
use special sirens to announce that it is time for Iftar and then recite
Azaan on loudspeakers. In some countries where mosques are not located
that closely people wait to hear the announcement on TV or Radio or
break their fast by looking at the time of sun down.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of the benefits of fasting is to come closer to appreciating
what we have especially when we are reminded of those who have not. It
becomes very easy for some Muslims to become puffed up with pride and
sometimes arrogance by thinking they are more pious than others. Fasting
is the only pillar of Al Islam that a Muslim can engage that is kept
out of the public eye of scrutiny. Meaning if one is sincere in his
faith, it will be determined by Allah especially during this month. This
is why everything we do as humans is done for our own sake, with the
exception of fasting as it is done for Allah's sake alone. For this
reason in particular Ramadan should produce humility in one that has
allowed his vanity to get out of hand. It should produce concern for the
homeless, the indigent and the powerless. It should enhance one's
overall sense of social commitment and drive to work for collective
change in one's community. These actions along with others are so
pleasing to Allah that he coined this activity by a unique name.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Righteousness
is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but (true)
righteousness is in one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the
angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth in spite of love for
it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask (for
help), and for freeing slaves: (and who) establishes prayer and gives
charity: (those who) fulfill their promise when they promise; and (those
who) are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are
the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous."
Qur'an 2:177</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In this Surah or Chapter of the Qur'an, Allah is not
only addressing the issue of the direction to face when offering prayer,
but also stressing that the believer's commitment to please his Lord
should be manifested in not just his stated beliefs, but also actions
geared to address the social concerns of his fellow man. These actions
are what mankind uses to judge whether genuine concern for his unique
condition is mutually shared. The Muslim establishes this connection
from the Quranic belief system that moves one's faith from an ideal
understanding to a practical application in the actions one takes in
order for others to derive the indirect benefits of his initial
commitment to worship.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We should not have the passion or energy to
term some as more pious than others based on our own criteria, but
rather the criteria of righteousness that Allah emphasizes throughout
the entire Qur'an. Over the course of man's daily struggles whether it
be at work, at home or in transition between the two, the daily grind we
each take can easily divert our attention away from this awareness and
temporarily throw us off course. Equally the successes in our daily
situations may increase our vanity and thus cause us to change our
course from one designed to please Allah to one that pleases only
ourselves. This common denominator is what should be used in order for
us to determine if we are staying on the straight path.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
These are a collection of short articles written in honor of the
month of fasting known as Ramadan. Each day we will examine another
aspect from a different thirtieth of the Qur'an. Since the facts on all
Sunni Muslims in the Islamic text clearly convey that we are directed to
read the entire Qur'an in this month, it is only fitting we analyze
some perspectives that are produced from each thirtieth part. Ramadan is
significant not only because it is a time of fasting, but also because
it is time where a believer can attain the mercy of Allah, His
Forgiveness, and achieve a freedom and protection from the Hellfire.
This was also the month the Holy Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him). It makes no sense if one completes a reading of it
entirely if one does not understand its application. God willing, we
will all achieve this objective.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i>"And recall when you said, "O
Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to
bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and
its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you
exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and
indeed, you will have what you asked." And they were covered with
humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]."</i> <b>Qur'an 2:61</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In
this Surah or Chapter of the Qur'an, Allah is addressing the Children
of Israel who were enslaved and oppressed by Pharaoh for multiple
generations. Then from among their class of people, Allah produces Musa
or Moses (peace be upon him) who by the assistance of Allah achieves
freedom for a people who were considered unworthy of humanity. However,
once they became free, the slave mindset which came as a result of
Pharaoh's psychological conditioning began to take hold.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
particular verse recounts a conversation between Musa or Moses (peace be
upon him) and the formerly enslaved community. Here they are saying
that the sustenance which was coming from their Lord by way of miracles
is inferior to the food they became accustomed to while enslaved. In
doing so, they not only insulted Allah, showed a lack of regard for the
leadership of Musa (PBUH), but subconsciously admitted that they
preferred an aspect of slavery over a reality of freedom.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This
slave mindset can be found amongst any who have ever found themselves
oppressed. Whether in Russia, Germany or America this mindset can be
produced given the reality of one's oppression. The beauty of this month
is to understand that Muslims are fasting because Allah commands it. By
fulfilling this command we are training our souls to be slaves of only
Allah alone. This establishes the foundation by which can spring proper
intellectual, and optimal psychological development. When the spiritual
foundation is neglected it becomes weak thus directly weakening
everything else the foundation is designed to support. This is why
Muslims should be exuberant when this month appears, because it provides
an opportunity to fortify the very foundation of their faith which is
the Oneness of Allah. Without this understanding, the only culmination
one will receive at the end of the month is nothing but a smaller waste
line.</div>

The word Ramadan comes from the Arabic root 'ramida' or
'ar-ramad', which means scorching heat or dryness. There may be two
interpretations to this name. One is that Ramadan signifies the burning
desire for food and water since it is the month of fasting. The other
interpretation is that fasting with a pure intention burns away the
earlier sins. It is believed that fasting during Ramadan is thirty times
more potent than during any other time of the year.
<br />
<br />Ramadan is replete in customs and traditions. A follower of Islam is
expected to follow strictly the holy customs and observe Ramadan with a
pure heart. Ramadan is the holiest of the four holy months in the
Islamic lunar calendar. Once the sighting of the new moon is
authenticated from a reliable source, several customs and stringent
practices begin as part of the deep rooted Ramadan tradition. At the
commencement of Ramadan, Muslims wish each other saying, "Ramadan
Mubarak" which means "Blessed Ramadan."<br />
<br />
<b> Ramadan - Do's and Don'ts</b><br />
<br />
Ramadan
is a month of fasting. However it is most often misinterpreted as
merely a period of abstaining from food. The significance of Ramadan
fasting in fact encompasses a much wider array of activities. It
signifies abstaining from -<br />
<br />
i) Food<br />
ii) Drink<br />
iii) Sex<br />
iv) Bad habits (such as smoking, gossiping, wasting time, too much useless television, complaining, etc.)<br />
<br />
During the Ramadan month followers of Islam are expected to spend their time doing the following activities -<br />
<br />
i) Reading/reciting the Qur'an (at least one Juz or section per day)<br />
ii) Salat - there are extra night prayers, and one may find this a good time to practice more sunnah prayers as well<br />
iii) Dhikr - Remembrance of Allah and repetition of His Attributes<br />
iv) Du'a - Actively thanking Allah for all of our blessings, and going to Him only for our needs<br />
v) Other spiritual reading or studying<br />
vi) Spending quality time with our families and Muslim friends<br />
vii) Sharing with others<br />
viii) Giving more charity<br />
<br />
<b> Ramadan Prayers</b><br />
<br />
During
Ramadan a Muslim is expected to devote the major part of the day to
prayers and the reading the teachings of Quran. During the entire moth
of Ramadan, Muslims are recommended to read the entire Quran. For the
convenience of reading the Quran within the thirty days of Ramadan, the
114 chapters of it have been divided in to thirty equal parts. The
special evening prayers where long portions of the Quran are recited are
known as Taraweeh. Its an Arabic word meaning rest or relaxation. Since
these prayers are quite long, after every for rakaats the devotes
momentarily relax before resuming their prayers. Hence the name.
<br />
<br />Another important prayer is the Takbeer which is usually recited
after the completion of any important task, for instance it is recited
on the completion of the fast of Ramadan. Takbeer is an indication that
the festivities of Eid-Ul-Fitr has begun.<br />
<br />
<b> Ramadan Food </b><br />
<br />
Ramadan
being the month of fasting, no food is taken from sunrise to sunset.
Meals are taken before sunrise and after sunset. These meals are known
as Suhur - the meal before sunrise and Iftar - the meal after sunset.
Friends and family gather together during Suhur and Iftar to enjoy meals
together. A large variety of food ia taken. Muslims in different parts
of the world have their own preferred dishes for Suhur and Iftar,
however the spirit of Ramadan remains the same throughout.<br />

<div class="by-line" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div id="article-content" style="text-align: justify;">
Fasting in the month of Ramadan requires the examination of all
aspects of the Qur'an. One of those aspects is the area of the martyr
who makes the ultimate sacrifice in jihad. It's extremely important to
properly define what jihad truly is. The word in Arabic literally means
struggle. Yet, many are afraid to discuss the subject. We as students
and believers of the Qur'an know that Allah placed mankind on earth
partly to prove our worth as successful members of His creation that can
adequately maintain, and protect that which He has ordained as such.
Due to this reason we are strongly encouraged to strive and struggle
with all at our disposal to ensure that correct and just systems are
instituted to maintain the harmony He details in the Qur'an. As a
result, Allah details how those who achieve this standard while making
the ultimate sacrifice should be remembered.<br />
<br />
Think not of those as
dead who are killed in the way of Allah. Nay, they are alive, with
their Lord, and they have provision. They rejoice in what Allah has
bestowed upon them of His bounty and rejoice for the sake of those who
have not yet joined them, but are left behind that on them no fear shall
come, nor shall they grieve. Qur'an 3:169 - 170<br />
<br />
In this verse
Allah is speaking specifically about those who have given their lives on
the battlefield of Mount Uhud. He further explains that their battle
was worthy of such praiseworthy language, acknowledgement and reward
because they were fighting against people united in preventing those who
chose to be Muslims from living as such. The opposition had chosen to
make war simply because they hated any and all persons that worshipped
Allah. However, such noteworthy language goes unmentioned by some
Muslims today. The unwillingness to discuss jihad and the rewards of
martyrdom are part of the reason why some find the subject matter so
controversial while others have an increased their incorrect
understanding of it. Controversy only exists when there is not uniform
agreement. Since Muslims know and understand that the Qur'an is the word
of Allah and His Prophet is the Qur'an in action, it is only logical
that we turn to these complimentary sources in order to address this
subject. Ironically, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) provided a
method for understanding how to handle this that must especially be
remembered during Ramadan.<br />
<br />
The first thing he did when arriving in
Medina was to establish a school geared to instruct the early Muslims
about the accuracy and proper application of their faith. He made those
who had proven themselves fully dedicated to the struggle among the
first teachers in Al Islam. He understood that if the educational system
currently available to them was the only system allowed that Al Islam
would have been misunderstood. This would have resulted in Islamic
malpractice even more. Using this strategy allowed the early Muslims to
not only increase their faith, but shape the discussion on how to
overcome the different forms of struggle in areas such as physical,
spiritual, and ideological.<br />
<br />
When Muslim leaders constantly address
issues that more individuals regard as less controversial and refuse to
address martyrdom and jihad, they subconsciously give more power to
those who successfully distort, misinterpret and blatantly lie about
these two concepts for their own perverted purposes. By doing this, the
position of those with ill intent to manipulate and control in an
ideological war increases because those with proper understanding have
literally left the ideological battlefield. This is unacceptable.<br />
<br />
What
Muslims have to do is to speak more of how these great concepts are
meant to be used. Stories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice must
be conveyed to not only educate but instill a sense of pride and
confidence among those who have inherited the legacy of Al Islam. Every
nation in the history of man has a story of origin that is used to
instill a sense of belonging and pride of ownership for its citizens.
This is done to convey the message that a particular nation is worth the
sacrifice its citizens make to ensure its protection, maintenance, and
advancement.<br />
<br />
These stories of origin consist of people, places and
events that played key roles of the past in order to ensure progress
for the future. Al Islam is no different in this regard. The origin
stories of nations have heroes and villains that when told have the
potential to produce greater heroes to stand up to greater enemies to
make a better nation. Al Islam has the same potential and it must be
remembered and conveyed often. To refrain from this at the expense of
something "more favorable" because it may be "more comfortable" is
insufficient. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the early Muslims
did not have the luxury of only dealing with issues that gave them
comfort, and they are considered the best generation. Why should Muslims
today have it otherwise?<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<em> </em></div>
<div id="article-content" style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The month of Ramadan is here, for which the Muslims around the
world had been waiting with devotion. A month of purity and sanctity
when you drive off all the evils and welcome every goodness that a human
being should posses. It is the month that provides the best
opportunities for self attainment and spiritual emancipation. In Ramadan
enmity subsides, bad habits are hated; kindness rules and helpful hands
are everywhere.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
During Ramadan the faithful take fast without
food and water, the whole day dedicated to prayers and to recite the
Quran as Ramadan is the month in which the lord sent down the Qur'an, as
a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment
(Between right and wrong). The name Ramadan comes from its root word
'ramadaa' which refers to the light rain that comes after the fall
season washing off the accumulated dust. This very much signifies the
deeds of the Ramadan month as everyone tends to wash off their
accumulated sins with kind deeds and good thoughts. "It is the month,
whose beginning is mercy, its middle, forgiveness and its end,
emancipation from the hell fire". Said Prophet Mohammed (PUBH) in a
verse.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Fasting in the month of Ramadan has two dimensions a
physical dimension and a non physical one. The physical dimension is
about the abstention of food and water and the non physical dimension is
the abstention of evil thoughts and deeds. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) had
said, "Perhaps a person fasting will receive nothing from his fasting
except hunger and thirst". Hence every mankind should remember that to
fast is not merely a ritual thrusted upon but it's a way of reviving
yourself and this should be done with honesty. The pureness of this
month is even more hailed with the "zakkath" (help to the needy) that is
observed on the 27th of the month. The Muslims believe that the lord
had asked the rich and able to give away a major share of their
belongings to the needy in this month. No person who approaches a Muslim
home this month leaves bare handed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nowadays beautiful 'Iftar'
meets are arranged where many people from all caste and creed joins to
break the fast in the evening. Such meets evokes good thoughts of unity
and friendship among everyone. However the huge amount of food wasted
should be put into concern, as this doesn't signify anything about
Ramadan and blessings aren't showered upon those who are bound by
lavishness and luxury.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let this Ramadan be a month to revive
yourself, a month for the whole mankind to start good notes of life and
follow to their rest of their life. Let every human being who comes out
of the month be cleaner, leaner, tender and renewed.</div>
</div>

The month of blessing has arrived again. This is the month of
happiness and loads of blessings and unlimited bounties for all the
Muslims globally from our Almighty Allah. It is the advent of a month
that is filled with immeasurable blessings; the thirty days which
necessitate a Muslim to observe one of the five pillars of Islam,
fasting. This month helps all the Muslims to abstain themselves from all
the bad deeds and to develop good habits in them.<br />
<br />
Life is full of
challenges and we confront it on regular basis. But Islam has given us a
true bounty of Ramadan to meet the challenges with courage and
confidence. Where this blessed month brings a chance for all the Muslims
to change their habits and to develop good deeds, it also brings a
chance to ask for forgiveness.<br />
<br />
According to Allah, the gates of
Heaven are thrown open, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are
chained in this month. Our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said,<br />
<br />
"When
the first night of Ramadan comes, the devils and the rebellious jinn
are chained, the gates of Hell are locked and not one of them is opened;
the gates of Paradise are opened and not one of them is locked; and a
crier calls, 'You who desire what is good, come forward, and you who
desire evil, refrain.' Some are freed from Hell by Allah, and that
happens every night." (Tirmidhi).<br />
<br />
Another proposal of this month
is the act of fasting, which was ordained during the second year of
Hijrah. Fasting is obligatory for all the Muslims. Fasting develops the
skills of self-restraint and self-control in an individual, as the
person fasting does not only have to abstain from food and drink, but
s/he must also refrain from many other things: backbiting, gossiping,
bad deeds, using abusive language etc.<br />
<br />
The Prophet said, "Whoever
does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds,
and speaking bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting)
leaving his food and drink" (Bukhari).<br />
<br />
The observance of fasting
during Ramadan constitutes one of the five pillars of Islam. The
experience of fasting is intended to teach Muslims self-discipline and
self-restraint, and understand a little of the plight of the less
privileged (e.g., the hungry, thirsty and the poor). Furthermore,
Ramadan fasting is not just about disciplining the body to refrain from
eating and drinking from pre-dawn until sunset, but is also about
exerting control over the mind. This involves restraining anger, doing
good deeds, exercising personal discipline, and preparing one to serve
as a good Muslim and a good person. Fasting during Ramadan is prescribed
for every healthy, adult Muslim whereas the weak, the sick, children,
travelers and menstruating women are among those exempted. Muslims
observing the fast are required to abstain not only from eating food and
drinking water, but also from consuming oral medicines and injecting
intravenous nutritional fluids.<br />
<br />
The aim of fasting is to get
spiritual happiness besides material welfare and to explore a true sense
of happiness within us. This month is a blessed month and gives us a
message to be pious to to get closer to Allah.<br />
<br />
In the Quran, Allah says:<br />
<br />
O
ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, even as it was
prescribed for those before you that ye may ward off (evil) (2:183).<br />
<br />
Fasting is an action, which, we are told, will act as a shield for us when we most need it.<br />
<br />
Allah's Apostle said,<br />
<br />
"Fasting is a shield or protection from the fire and from committing sins" (Bukhari).<br />
<br />
Ramadan
is the month, when all the Muslims should have to pay their yearly
Zakat from whatever he/she has earned. Paying Zakat is obligatory in
Islam and every one has to follow its procedure strictly. Care for the
poor relatives, neighbors and other deprived people is also ordained
upon the Muslims in the form of Zakat. A small portion of wealth, left
accumulated in the previous year, is to be distributed among the
deserving people, thus creating a sense of gratitude among the rich
towards the Almighty and at the same time a sense of fulfillment among
the under-privileged towards the Almighty, as well as a sense of
brotherhood towards the giver of the charity.<br />
<br />
Allah's Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, said,<br />
<br />
"There is Zakat applicable to everything, and the Zakat of the body is fasting" (Tirmidhi).<br />
<br />
Fasting
also fill in Muslims, the spirit of charity. Abstaining from food and
drink gives a firsthand experience to the more privileged as to what the
less fortunate may have to endure the year around. Hence, it encourages
us to donate more to charity and to give out of the wealth to those who
cannot afford the same luxuries that they do.<br />
<br />
Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said,<br />
<br />
"He
who gives one who has been fasting something with which to break his
fast, or who equips a fighter, will have a reward equivalent to his"
(Tirmidhi).<br />
<br />
Fasting is pure worship. The fact that he is
abstaining from food and drink both in public and in secret shows his
honest faith and strong love of Allah, and his knowledge and feeling
that Allah is all-knowing of everything. For this reason Allah has made
the reward for fasting greater than for any other type of worship.
Fasting promotes the passions for patience, humility and a sense of
submission to the Creator. Additional prayers and recitation of the Holy
Quran and the regular prayers is rewarded manifold. The chief merit of
Fasting is that it is an act based upon pure love and devotion to Allah
and there is not an iota of show and exhibition of one's piety in it.
The act of fasting is completely hidden from the view of the people and
this is a moral training for the next whole year.<br />
<br />
Achieving Taqwa
is one of the most important wisdom of fasting. Fasting brings on Taqwa
as it lessens the desire of the stomach and mutes the sexual appetite.
Whoever fasts frequently would overcome these two desires more easily.
Strengthening willpower and acquiring patience.<br />
<br />
We should fear
Allah and obey His every Command throughout this month. Fasting is never
done for any material or worldly gain. Fasting is done mainly for the
spiritual upliftment. It develops "Taqwa" in Muslims. The Prophet (PBUH)
called Ramadan the month of patience as it increases one's will power
to control his desire and the selfishness of his soul. This training
allows him to be strong in following Allah's commands.<br />
<br />
Yet another
blessing of this month is that every good deed done in it, whether it
be good to others or reciting the Quran, carries an extra weight of
blessings
<br />
<br />The Prophet said, "(Allah says about the fasting person),<br />
<br />
'He
has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The fast is for Me. So
I will reward (the fasting person) for it and the reward of good deeds
is multiplied ten times'" (Bukhari).<br />
<br />
It was narrated from Abu
Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH) said,
"Ameen, ameen, ameen." It was said, "Messenger of Allah, you climbed up
on the minbar and said, "Ameen, ameen, ameen." He said, "Jibrael (peace
be upon him), came to me and said, "Whoever witnesses the month of
Ramadan and is not forgiven, so he enters Hell, may Allah cast him away.
Say Ameen." So I said Ameen."<br />
<br />
Another factor, which distinguishes
Ramadan from other months, is the advent of the Night of Power or
Lailat-ul-Qadr. The Night of Power is said to be the one in which Allah
writes the decree of His creation. In verses three to five 5 of Surah
Al-Qadr, God says:<br />
<br />
"The Night of Power is better than a thousand
months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of
their Lord, with all decrees. (That night is) Peace until the rising of
the dawn."<br />
<br />
The month of Ramadan is a chance to make up for the
time lost around the year in other work and revert to Allah, beg
forgiveness for the sins done around the year, and finally, a chance to
better the life waiting in the Hereafter. It offers every Muslim an
opportunity to strengthen his Emaan, purify his heart and soul, and to
remove the evil effects of the sins committed by him.<br />
<br />
All those
who have performed their spiritual duties towards the Creator and the
created and have accomplished the mission ordained upon them in this
month, have got every right to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, as a day of
successful culmination, but of course, not before paying Fitra, a simple
obligatory gesture of kindness towards the poor, to enable them to
enjoy the holy day.<br />
<br />
Children must be encouraged to start fasting at an early age to begin the regiment and instill desire.<br />
<br />
Common Errors made during Ramadan<br />
<br />
Excessive
spending: Ramadan should be a time to avoid being wasteful, and
learning to be prepared in facing harder times by distinguishing the
needs from the luxuries. Unfortunately, many people go beyond their
limits to spend during Ramadan, whether in the varieties of food that
they savor each night, or by the other types of spending.<br />
<br />
Staying
awake during the night and sleeping during the day: Meditation for soul
upliftment can be practiced in the month of Ramadan with determination.
Some people sleep during most of the day when they are fasting or else
engage themselves in activities. Ramadan is not a time of being lazy. In
addition, some may spend a great portion of the night indulging in
eating and drinking and socializing<br />
<br />
Reading the Quran too fast:
Some insist on finishing the whole Quran once or more, even if they have
to read very fast. Although reading the Quran many times is desirable,
this should not be done hastily, especially during the Tarawih prayer
without pondering upon its meaning.<br />
<br />
Eating too much: This month
gives us a message to realize about the poor and needy people. Filling
appetite more than required is not the mandate of Ramadan. There are few
people who eat too much in the month of Ramadan. It is been observed
that the people eat more in the month of Ramadan than in any other
month. But Allah is only pleased with those, who eat less and charity
more in this month.<br />
<br />
There is no need to consume excess food at
iftaar (the food eaten in the period immediately after sunset to break
fast), dinner, or saheri (the light meal generally eaten about half an
hour to one hour before dawn). The reasons for this are two-fold. First,
and most importantly, such a lifestyle contradicts the principal aims
and spirit of Ramadan. Over-eating can be seen as a reflection of weak
discipline and irresponsibility. Secondly, the body has regulatory
mechanisms that reduce the metabolic rate and ensure efficient
utilization of body fat. Furthermore, most people assume a more
sedentary lifestyle while fasting. The net result is that a balanced
diet that consists of less than the normal amount of food intake is
sufficient to keep a person healthy and active during the month of
Ramadan.<br />
<br />
We must beg for Allah's forgiveness because we have
broken so many of His rules and covenants and disobeyed His commands
during the year.<br />
<br />
Ramadan is meant for SPIRITUAL development
through fasting. Physiologically, by fasting the body eliminates toxins
efficiently and the mind becomes clear for "power thinking" so that one
may ponder on the meaning of the Qur'an, Hadith and the necessity of
Zikr. One must also do some self-analysis to monitor and correct one's
behavior if necessary. With meditation, the mind becomes quiet and so
should our tongues!<br />
<br />
This is the month for renewing our commitment
and re-establishing our relationship with our Creator. It is the spring
season for goodness and virtues when righteousness blossoms throughout
the Muslim communities. This month brings us a message to follow
equality and brotherhood and to raise the positive image of Islam.<br />
<br />
For
all of us, who ever hurt any ones heart must seek forgiveness from that
person, because it is a rule of nature that nothing is worst then
hurting human and only asking for forgiveness from that person can heal
the heart. According to our Holy Prophet, the only thing which has no
forgiveness by Allah is to hurt human.<br />
<br />
Therefore, It's my pray to
Allah for all the Muslim brothers and sisters that may He gives us a
true sense of understanding for our religion. May He show us the right
path to follow. May Allah help us all to make every fast this Ramadan a
shield in the Hereafter and an intercessor in the grave. May Allah guide
us towards making this Ramadan a source for gathering numerous
blessings and getting our major and minor sins forgiven. May Allah guide
us on the right path and help us to understand the true essence of
Islam and our aim of life. May Allah brings happiness and shower his
blessings on us and may our wishes come true. Ameen.<br />

The Ramadan Festival which is one of the most important spiritual
observances in the Muslim calendar and is celebrated with the same
reverence it was centuries ago, even in today's cosmopolitan city of
Dubai. The month of Ramadan falls on the ninth month of the Islamic
calendar, and during this period Muslims all over the world fast from
dawn to sunset. During this period they offer prayers to Allah and hope
that the practice will bring them closer to Islamic values of modesty
and spirituality.<br />
<br />
The final day of the month of Ramadan, is one
which is celebrated with a lot of pomp and pageantry in Dubai.
Eid-ul-Fitr as it is known in Arabic is translated as the festival which
breaks the fast, and is notable for its grand feasts. In addition to
this in Dubai, tents known as Ramadan tents are constructed where
devotees gather to break the fast on each day of Ramadan at communal
Iftar feasts.<br />
<br />
The Islamic principal of brotherhood is well
demonstrated at these feasts as not only Muslims but even tourists
belonging to any other nationality or religion are also warmly welcomed
in to partake in the Iftar feast. Traditional Arabic cuisine is served
at these gathering while the ceremonial Shisha pipe holds centre stage.<br />
<br />
During
the Ramadan period and particularly on Eid-ul-Fitr a number of special
events are organized all over Dubai, such as the "Ramadan in Dubai"
shopping promotion which showcases some of the city's most sought after
shopping malls and boutiques. Despite the spirituality associated with
the religious festival, Dubai is still the same bustling metropolis
during the festival. However travelers should be mindful of the
religious observances and behave accordingly.<br />
<br />
</div>
<div id="article-resource" style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Although food is not eaten during the fasting hours in Dubai, a
hotel guest will not experience any change in the timing of meals like
at a Dubai hotel such as Raffles Dubai, UAE. Many a hotel in Dubai
actually makes a special effort to promote traditional Arabic cuisine
and most establishments have various promotions on offer for
international tourists during this period.</div>

To Muslims, Ramadan is a month of acceptance, forgiveness, and
deliverance. Muslims believe that Allah (SWT) bestowed the month for
them as a bonus to exonerate a sinful soul. That's why you need to work
and pray harder to be delivered during this month. But it's easier said
than done. Years upon years you keep making promises -- to complete the
recitation of the holy Quran (from Baqara to Naas) or to always observe
tahajjud at night or to never miss taraweeh prayer, but you just can't
live up to your promises -- you keep failing. What you need are some
simple steps to help you improve on your daily ibadah during the month
of Ramadan. Here are the steps:<br />
<br />
Be Dedicated
<br />
<br />You have to be committed to doing your best in the holy month of
Ramadan. You can't afford to slacken on your ibadah, knowing fully the
reward that's in the month in which the holy Quran was revealed.<br />
<br />
Stay Organize<br />
<br />
Organize yourself. Make a To-Do list of your activities. If you have 10-hours free, you could organize yourself as follows:
<br />
<br />2-hours: for Qiyam-al-Layl
<br />2-hours: for Quranic recitation
<br />2-hours: for Quranic studies
<br />1-hour: for supplications
<br />2-hours: for attending tafseer
<br />1-hour: for socializing with friends and neighbors<br />
<br />
The month
of Ramadan is too valuable; you can't afford to waste a second of your
time without any zikr. It's also good to set some goals (of what
milestone of ibadah you want to achieve) during the month of Ramadan,
and record your progress as you move ahead. This will give you the zeal
to worship harder in order to attain your goals.<br />
<br />
Stick to Your Schedules
<br />
<br />Stick to your To-Do list. Don't just devise a good plan on how to
run your day during the sacred month of remission; by all means, stick
to your plan. Plan only for what you can do; don't plan a task you can't
undertake. Draft a simple, easy plan, and follow every bit of it.<br />
<br />
Listen to Tafseer
<br />
<br />List "listening to tafseer" as a priority in your program. Attending
tafseer in your local mosque is very important. Aside from keeping you
up-to-date of the prize and profit of the Month, attending to tafseer
also teaches you more about the bonuses and blessings of Ramadan. You
don't want to miss an afternoon or evening tafseer in the holy month of
Ramadan.<br />
<br />
Drop Your Gadgets Aside
<br />
<br />Okay this might be hard for you, but that iPhone or iPad of yours
might cause you big reward. Therefore, drop those MP Players, CDs, Play
Stations, and tablets away and set your focus straight on your Merciful
Lord. If your cable satellite or Blackberry subscription expires, don't
worry to subscribe back. Those movies and BB chats are distractions to
your ibadah efforts. Avoid such entertainments in the holy month and
other months!<br />
<br />
The month of Ramadan is the holiest month for
Muslims. It's the month of blessings and deliverance where doors of
rahma are kept wide open to deliver anyone who seeks for it. Ibadah is
our key to these doors, and that is why we need to strategize hard and
sacrifice our blackberries for spiritual berries, and while the month of
Ramadan is wrapped with Laylat-al-Qadr, we have to improve on our
ibadah to witness it. May Allah help us. Amen.<br />
